North Hills used to be one of Raleigh's malls, but was reimagined into a destination by John Kane in the 2000's. More than just a destination now, this whole area has been dubbed Midtown due to the growing development in the area. Featuring Target, AMC Movie Theater, boutiques, cafes, hotel, and grocery stores, there will soon be an Innovation District and much more. The homes adjacent were mostly built in the 60's and 70's on larger lots, but more and more there are newer construction homes popping up due to the larger size of the lots and the upscale nature of the area.
